The traditional skincare unboxing experience unboxing experience causes exceptionally large ecological issues, clogging up the natural environment and landfill. Ninth Wave opts to minimize its paper and cardboard packaging by using reusable muslin bags, biodegradable shipping materials and mailers and seeded paper tags with native Australian seeds to promote plant growing and zero wastage.

As part of these efforts, Ninth Wave uses PCR material (Post Consumer Recycled) or eco-friendly alternative materials in its packaging. This type of plastic is less wasteful than new plastic, as a reduced amount of waste is produced and collected, creating less waste in landfills and water sources. PCR plastic is a circular material (it can be recycled after use) and also reduces carbon footprint for a more positive impact on our Earth.
